Critics said they were inexperienced. Flashy. Overconfident.

The critics were right.

On August 9, 2008, Guillermo y Compania started living up to the hype.
Traveling to Asheville, NC, Guillermo looked forward to a weekend of fun: giggling, playing in the sun, looking at clouds and eating candy.

Brooklyn: distressed because Saturday's games were just awkward.

Since Saturday was such a chiste, Guiller had plenty of time to just have a hey-ho good time. After our games we played Marco Polo in the hotel pool, ate ice cream in downtown Asheville, and had a fort-building slumber party in Jon Meade's room.

After a rigorous warm-up involving Bojangles and the Monstar's anthem, Guiller pushed through challenging quarterfinals and semifinals opponents.

Meeting Deliverance in the finals, Guillermo scraped back from a 10-7 deficit to emerge victorious, 15-13.

There was much rejoicing.

And so it was, Guillermo y Compania managed to goof off for an entire weekend, having an absolute blast...and we've still never lost a game.

There's a lot of love on this team.

Guiller Trivia: The average age of the players at hodown was 22.2.
